OUR STORY
We began our journey back in 2022 when we decided we wanted to make a crisp that was a healthier alternative to standard crisps but still packed a full flavour punch without compromise.

We wanted to ensure our crisp could be enjoyed by everyone; the health conscious; those with dietary allergies; those who didn’t eat meat or derivatives and those that just like eating crisps whilst ensuring the crisps offered fantastic strong flavours with every bite and were not greasy.
We started looking at all the core ingredient options; potatoes; lentils; chick peas, rice flour. After six months of research and testing we found that lentil based crisps offered the best solution as not only do they tick the healthier ‘Better For You’ box it also offers a great crunch, lovely texture and really holds onto our carefully selected seasonings.
Once we had determined the lentil as the base product we then started to work with seasoning houses to develop extra special flavour profiles that would deliver a consistent flavour on every curl for the life of the crisp.
After months of in house and consumer testing we produced out first batch of Cracking curls which went on sale in February 2023 & we haven’t looked back since. Selling the first run of 8,000 bags in the first four months. Since then we have done two more production runs and extended our stockist list in England & Wales.
